名古屋大学と学術交流協定を締結している大学に在籍する学生が、名古屋大学において4ヶ月か ら12ヶ月の日本留学を体験する。交換留学生は、専門科目及び日本語科目の受講、もしくは研究を行う。プログラム修了時には、成績証明書及び一定要件を満たしたものに修了証明書が発行される。

シンガポール国立大学の学生がスタートアップ企業などでインターンシップを実施しながら、近隣の大学で起業教育を受けるプログラム（NUS Overseas Colleges: NOC）を世界各国の20以上の地域で実施し、名古屋でも本学の協力のもと2023年度から実施している。2026年度からは名古屋大学で起業教育科目も本学学生とともに学ぶ予定。

本プログラムは、大学院の研究室が単独あるいは共同で、海外の協定校から研修生を受入れる研修を対象とします。研修者は、受入れ研究室の支援（相談や研究室側支援者等）を受け、博士機構が提供するonline研修等を利用して準備を進め、研修計画書にまとめた上で、関係者が承認した研修計画書に従って研修を実施します。本プログラムは，独立行政法人日本学生支援機構「海外留学支援制度（協定受入）」利用を前提とし、名古屋大学により実施されるものです。海外留学支援制度（協定受入）における受入学生の資格・要件を満たさない場合は、本プログラムに参加はできません。
